Tyrone’s River’s Alive Clean-Up Event
On Saturday, November 6, 2010, the Town of Tyrone and the Fayette County Stormwater Department are partnering up to hold their annual Rivers Alive Clean-Up Event. Volunteers will meet at Tyrone Town Hall, 881 Senoia Road, at 10:00 AM. From there, supplies will be distributed and we will have a brief safety meeting.

Then, we will break up into groups and head out to clean up trash along the roadways and stream banks of tributaries of Line Creek, a stream that supplies drinking water to our community. The streams are located in close proximity to Castlewood Road and Palmetto Road. All volunteers will be required to arrange for their own transportation to the clean-up sites. All participants under the age of 18 will be required to be accompanied by an adult. Please join us in an effort to beautify one of our planet’s most valuable resources, our streams.

For any additional comments or questions, please contact the Town’s Environmental and Planning Technician, Beth Vaughn, at (770) 487-4038 ext. 103 or bvaughn@tyrone.org.
A liability waiver is available below for those who wish to volunteer.
