Beginning in 2009, the Tyrone Police Department is offering a series of free courses to our community that will provide you with tips and information on a wide variety of topics. This portion of our website has been setup to provide information on upcoming courses, online registration, and resources on crime prevention.
Our courses will be open to anyone who wishes to attend at no cost. However, priority will be given to Tyrone residents.
We can develop or access courses on a wide variety of crime and public safety topics, so please send us your ideas and we will do our best to accommodate.

Deter. Detect. Defend: Avoiding ID Theft
This course will provide information and tips on how to protect yourself and your finances from this quickly growing crime. You will learn how to prevent becoming a victim, how to find out if you have become a victim, and how to respond if you have become a victim.
This course was completed on Monday March 2, 2009. The notes and handouts from the class are available for public review and download at the bottom of this page.
