Tyrone’s Earth Day
Saturday, April 16, 2011
Each year, the citizens and the employees of the Town of Tyrone come together to clean up our community. On Saturday, April 16, 2011, we invite you to meet us at Town Hall, 881 Senoia Road, at 9:00 AM. From there, we will conduct a short background meeting about Earth Day. Then, we will distribute supplies, such as garbage bags and gloves, to each volunteer. Finally, we will head out to roadways throughout the Town to pick up litter. This event has proven to be a successful way of cleaning up our Town in the past and with your involvement, it is sure to be a success in 2011. So, come on out and help us beautify our wonderful Town!
After the clean up event, we invite you and your family to the Stonewall Government Complex (southwest corner of Hwy 54 & Hwy 85) in Fayetteville. Here, Fayette County and the City of Fayetteville are co-hosting the County-wide Annual Earth Day Festival from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This event promises to bring an environmental and educational experience for all ages as there will be several exhibits and environmental booths displayed throughout the day. Please come out and support the “going green” movement of our community.
