CSX Railroad Corp. has notified the Town of Tyrone that several railroad crossings will be closed in the coming week, over a staggered period. Detour signs will be erected. Residents are advised to plan ahead for extra driving time.

From Monday, March 28 to Thursday, March 31, the following six (6) railroad crossings will be closed for two-to-three days, over a staggered period:

• Senoia Rd. Railroad Crossing
• East Crestwood Road Railroad Crossing
• Valleywood Rd. Railroad Crossing
• Tyrone Rd. Railroad Crossing
• Handley Road Railroad Crossing
• Swanson Road Railroad Crossing

CSX is closing the crossings in order to replace the railroad ties.
