A citizen has contacted us to advise that they received a card in the mail from the Fayette County Board of Elections entitled "Notice of Polling Place" that provides information on the City of Fayetteville election, but gives no information about the Tyrone election. We have confirmed with the Board of Elections that these cards were sent to our residents in error and that they are in the process of sending corrected cards at this time.

To clarify, the voting location for Tyrone citizens for the municipal election is Tyrone First Baptist Church on Arrowood Road. Additionally, our citizens must go to their designated county-wide polling place to vote on the SPLOST. More information on polling places can be located on the following websites:

The Tyrone Library will host early voting October 26 - 30, 2009 from 8am to 5pm. Citizens choosing this option will be able to cast their vote in the municipal election AND the County-wide SPLOST at one location.
