NO Plans for Millage Increase

in

Contrary to a recent report in the 03/02/10 issue of The Fayette County News, the Town of Tyrone is not considering an increase in the Town's millage rate.

Like other communities in Fayette County, Tyrone is projected to face a revenue shortfall for FY 2010-11. The Town is considering budget cuts, postponing hiring, delaying capital improvements and other measures to
balance the budget for FY 2010/11.

The Town is not planning to raise millage rates for FY 2010/11.

Richard Newbern, Town Manager
